Quang Tri to train Lao personnel

Quang Tri (VNA)- The central province of Quang Tri will help Laos ’ Salavan province train personnel and provide 1 billion VND for the latter’s socio-economic development until 2009.

The agreement was reached between two delegations of Salavan and Quang Tri in Dong Ha town, Quang Tri province on September 17.

At the signing ceremony, Khamboun Duongpannha, member of the Central Committee of the Laos Revolutionary People’s Party, secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Salavan governor, warmly thanked Quang Tri province for its help and cooperation in the past time.

He said he hoped the two provinces will carry out the agreement in the best way.

While in Quang Tri, Salavan delegation paid visits to Lao Bao special economic – trade zone, Cua Viet economic-service zone, Vinh Linh district, some custom offices and border guard posts.-
